This is a very short recipe, I found among some old recipe books of my grandmothers. It’s simple, and delicious. I’ve included a copy of her handwritten note for the recipe, which in true Grandy fashion-is written on a random piece of paper she probably found and grabbed then saved.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup smooth peanut butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 Egg
Thoroughly mix all ingredients in a bowl; spoon out a small ball of dough and drop onto cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork (to give the patterned effect). Bake at 350, for 10-15. Until the cookies look set, and the tips are golden. Remove from oven, (if desired, sprinkle spare sugar on top lightly) and let cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a cooling rack.
